More 55

Our first project for the new More Boats Shipyard comes to life in 2015 with the request to build a boat characterized by uncompromised beauty and luxurious elegance combined with the best features of a sporty yacht.

The More 55 was a new project for a new boatyard: when we met for the rst time with Milan and Silvia Mandic they had just decided to build by themselves a new 55 ft to add to the existing eet of More Charter boats.
Few clear inputs: a fast and nice looking boat, with enough internal space for ve cabins, three toilets and an appropriate internal headroom for tall north European customers, who were already waiting for something that was not even on the paper. The added value of the project was Milan’s team: twenty years of boat management with knowledge of what to do or not to do to have a 100% reliable and easy maintainable boat, transferred to our of ce and to Leo Curin of Pulse Yacht Design, our partners in this adventure, as he would have been for the later Bavaria projects.
The More 55 resulted erce and elegant: a new age in performance cruising, a boat for active sailing, appropriate for all those who are seeking adrenaline, but also for anyone who is looking for peaceful and luxurious family sailing.
More Boat Yard provided an excellent manufacturing quality, one of the best ever seen in series production, with carefully executed vacuum infusion systems and strict weight’s control. A sturdy steel structures overlaminated and bolted to the composite part, and supports the rig and keel stresses.
Moving to the interiors, our main drive was to create high quality classic interior with a modern touch. Everything was selected and made with attention to details, quality and functionality. First of all it was important to create woodwork of the highest possible quality, made from real teak handpicked in Burma, dried for two years and then treated; it blends together in a perfect harmony of colors and lines to make you feel like at home. All furniture is additionally protected with two extra layers of varnish. Plywood is marine okoume of the highest quality. Floors are made from Alucore aluminum with wood looking finish laminate, which guarantees that there won’t be moisture in the future and the floors will be the same for many years to come.

We wrapped up all this with a very modern hull shape with vertical and massive bow, and full, powerful sections up to stern. The yacht was designed to accommodate comfortably the crew during leisure sailing, to offer enough eating and lounging area to twelve people and it has also appropriate space in the cockpit for the crew participating in a regatta.
The yacht has three possible layout version with three, four or ve cabins with a skippers place forward, but the future owner can also ask to have personalized solutions to better suit his requirements. To achieve so much space without adding to the height of the cabins and overall yacht appearance, it took a lot of skill and knowledge, which is the best description of the cooperation between More Boats and Cossutti Yacht Design.
Big kitchen and saloon area make the sailing perfect while you enjoy cooking fresh food, or having fun in saloon in the evenings. Outside is possible to have a big storage area or skippers cabin.
