Superketch 60m

Superketch 60 is a Cossutti Yacht Design concept, dedicated to the high-level charter market on large sailboats, with the aim of offering the comfort features typical of motor megayachts, with the fantastic feeling of sailing. Our project merges elegance with the need to obtain large covered and uncovered spaces suitable for navigation as well as for moorings at anchor.

The project architecture was designed to give the guests onboard a sense of utmost relaxation in the living areas. One of the main features required to achieve this sense of comfort is to seek exterior-to-interior continuity, ensuring a sense of living in contact with the sea.

Large windows, wide openings, use of the same materials for the passage from the external to internal spaces helps tie the guest to the external environment, and does so in total comfort. The layout combines many public spaces with different situations: a flybridge that is a patio on the sea, open to the sun and wind, with two steering stations for maneuvers and a saloon with bar for evenings in the open air. On the main deck, we pass-through a complete open saloon to enter a covered one — thus ensuring that the outdoor spaces can be enjoyed under all weather conditions — and on to the main saloon closed in with huge windows to ensure a connection with the sea. Forward is the dining room.

On the lower deck, there are 10 guest cabins and 2 Suites with the possibility of a spectacular terrace that opens directly on the sea. A curved stairway becomes a true and proper “Promenade” connecting the social spaces on the flybridge and main deck to the lower deck. On the main deck, port side, symmetrically opposite the stairs, is a bar that can serve both the indoor and outdoor spaces, thus amplifying the sense of contact with the sea. To maximize the perception of contact with the sea, the hull reeboard decreases where the window on the superstructure begins to arch. The two lines starting out from this point — one directed skyward, the other seaward — create a balance of solids and voids, building a profile of unusual proportions. The curved stairs create a particular effect when touched by the light, the observer’s eye flowing along the side from bow to stern.
