The Italia Yachts 12.98 was presented in world preview at the Cannes Yachting Festival at the beginning of September and then at the Genoa Boat Show 2022, obtaining the nomination in the “Performance Cruiser” category of the European Yacht of the Year 2023 award. The tests, which will took the jury members of the twelve sailing magazines from all over Europe, began yesterday in Port Ginesta, south of Barcelona.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Exposed for the first time in the water last month in Cannes and Genoa, in the “Bellissima” version, with the innovative interiors designed by Mirko Arbore, the new model of Italia Yachts is characterized by a hull with sleek and elusive lines and a generous sail plan. It is designed to be absolutely enjoyable in cruising, but without giving up sporting ambitions. In fact the Fuoriserie version aims to achive great results in the B ORC class.<\/p>\n

Production of the new IY12.98 has started in the new Italia Yachts shipyard in Fano, and the twelve boats already sold promise commercial success.<\/p>\n

European Yacht of the Year<\/h4>\n

In these days the first model of the new 12.98 Bellissima is participating in Port Ginesta, Barcelona, \u200b\u200bin the tests of the European Yacht of the Year 2023 award. All 16 candidates were thoroughly tested and evaluated. In total, the specialised journalists covered almost 2,500 nautical miles with the nominated yachts. The European Yacht of the Year Award is the most important, influential and most widely communicated boatbuilding prize worldwide. Often referred to as the \u201eOscar\u201c of yachting it reaches an international audience of several million sailing enthusiasts, boat owners and industry executives. Initiated by German sail magazine YACHT it was first presented at boot D\u00fcsseldorf in 2004. Today 12 magazines from all over Europe make up the jury, each of them the leading voice in their respective countries and respected beyond national borders.<\/p>\n
