Venmar Lido 32

After Respiro, the motorboat designed around the Yamaha Harmo electric motor and presented at the Genoa Boat Show in 2021, the Venmar shipyard relaunches with the Lido 32. The project combines a classic aesthetic inspired by Venice with modern technologies aimed at reducing environmental impact in lagoon and coastal navigation.

The excitement surrounding the launch of Respiro at the Genoa Boat Show in September 2021 is still fresh, and a new project is already on the drawing boards of Studio Cossutti. The second project for the Venetian shipyard, the Lido 32 is a traditionally powered diesel boat which, like Respiro, has been developed to move efficiently with minimal power in the particular wave conditions of the Venetian Lagoon.

As with its younger sister, the construction is extremely lightweight, using vacuum-infused composite materials. The design recalls the classic style of traditional Venetian boats, enriched with distinctive details such as the inverted transom with opening platform, inspired by some of our studio’s previous sailing yacht projects.

The large open area forward of the aft helm console features two comfortable benches and a galley unit that also serves as the engine cover. Below the bow there is space for a double berth with a concealed toilet. The deck finishes, in keeping with Venmar tradition, are in fine wood, while the flooring is made of natural cork.
